Trash the dress Minnesota Style!

Here's a sample of a "Minn-e-so-tah" style post wedding session. I can't wait to do a winter version! These are just a few of my favorites of Laura & Steven.

Trash the dress Minnesota style!

It's here...we have been hit by the craze! You may have seen it on Good Morning America, or news publications all over the country. Some say it started in New York, some say California. The truth is, photographers have been trashing dresses for a very long time. I can remember attending a workshop through the PPA (Proffesional Photographer's of America) back in the late 80's, seeing images of couples making out on the beach, seemingly just after the wedding ceremony. It was much more common to see engagement couples engaged in such activities, but now it has become a very big deal to many brides, something of a cremony in itself. A ceremony in which the bride declares "I won't be needing this dress anymore, so let's have some fun, and create something beautiful, & memorable.

Now here in Minnesota, we do not have beautiful teal blue oceans in which to send our brides prancing. We have corn & hay fields, old barns, woods, swamps and lets not forget...our lakes! We are land of 10,000 lakes after all!

Anyone interested in posting their images, attending one of our workshops, or becoming a featured photographer on this site, please send us a comment or email.
